Image
Hi Companions, When looking at going to Disney, there are a lot of choices. Picking a time, what kind of ticket, and all the options of where to stay. In the next couple of weeks, we are going to look at staying on Disney property versus staying off property. Today, we are going to look at the pros and cons to staying on property at Disney World Resort. Pros You have the magic of Disney all of the time When you stay at a Disney Resort, you are in the middle of the Disney Magic 24/7. You are surrounded by hidden Mickeys in your room, there are Disney movies playing, and you have the Disney Cast Members ready to serve you whatever you need. I love staying at a Disney Resort because then I never really leave Disney until my trip is over. And the customer service is amazing. The Cast Members are friendly and try to accommodate your every need! You can find MIckey shaped everything and the quality of the rooms is very nice. And they have options for everyone! Top 10 Things to Bring BEFORE You Get to Disney

Image
Hi Companions ,  So, when Natalie and I first thought of this blog, we talked about the many wonderful blog posts we would do and share. ( We have a bunch coming at you, so please subscribe, follow and share! ) That being said, I really wanted to do this one because realistically it lends to my personality pretty perfectly. :) I am the type of traveler that always likes to be prepared! Call me type A, mom or whatever but I try to categorize it in three categories. 1. Does it save me money? 2. Is it more convenient? 3. Will it enhance my experience? After basically going to Disney my whole life, these are the BEST 10 THINGS (and maybe some honorable mentions) I could think of that you should bring BEFORE you get to Disney. Without further adieu, in no particular order. 10 Best Things 1. Rain Poncho - Disney does have rain ponchos but they are expensive and the plastic ones are very thin. You could get one from the dollar store and get something just as thin for those...

Top 10 Things I Miss Most About Disney

Image
Hi Companions, I don’t know about you, but I miss Disney, like a lot! Don’t get me wrong, I know there are more serious matters going on right now and I hate that. But I wanted to talk about some of the reasons I miss Disney because it brings me some joy just to think and talk about Disney during this hard time in our lives. Because of that, I wanted to share the top ten things I miss most about Disney. 10. Merchandise I miss the shopping and I’m not even a big shopper! I know that sounds a little crazy considering you can go online and shop but there is park exclusive merchandise that you can’t get online. There’s the souvenir popcorn buckets, pins, art work and so much more that you can only get in the parks. Personally, I really miss the Disney Park puzzles. With all this time at home right now, I could use a new puzzle. It’s fun just to walk around each store in the park and look at all they have to offer. I will be very happy when I can go wander through them again. 9...

About Us

BEFORE we talk about ourselves, we wanted to just say that this blog is a dream come true for the both of us because we get to talk about the thing we LOVE...DISNEY! Hey! I’m Natalie, one of the co-founders of The Castle Companions! I was born and raised in Texas but that didn’t keep me away from all things Disney! From the time I was a little girl, I was obsessed with Disney! I would draw and dream of becoming an animator and I was fortunate that I got to visit both theme parks many times growing up. I lucked out having two parents who also loved Disney! Even though I am not an animator now, some of my favorite places in the world are at Disney and I also am a travel agent that specializes in Disney! I love all things Disney and try to go as often as I can, even if that means going by myself! I am so excited to share in this journey with Susan and all of you! We want to help you have the best experience at Disney possible and share a little magic with you. I hope you enjoy th...
