BEFORE we talk about ourselves, we wanted to just say that this blog is a dream come true for the both of us because we get to talk about the thing we LOVE...DISNEY!




Hey! I’m Natalie, one of the co-founders of The Castle Companions! I was born and raised in Texas but that didn’t keep me away from all things Disney! From the time I was a little girl, I was obsessed with Disney! I would draw and dream of becoming an animator and I was fortunate that I got to visit both theme parks many times growing up. I lucked out having two parents who also loved Disney! Even though I am not an animator now, some of my favorite places in the world are at Disney and I also am a travel agent that specializes in Disney! I love all things Disney and try to go as often as I can, even if that means going by myself! I am so excited to share in this journey with Susan and all of you! We want to help you have the best experience at Disney possible and share a little magic with you. I hope you enjoy this Disney journey as much as we do!


Hi! I’m Susan! I’m one the co-founders of The Castle Companions. I’m originally a Southern California girl living in Texas but I’m still completely obsessed with Disney. You can take the girl out of Disney, but not the Disney out of the girl! I grew up with Disneyland in my backyard (Not literally but almost) and for me Disney is my happy place. Disney is where my greatest childhood memories were and it is where my funniest adult memories still are. You might be thinking, how often does she go back living in Texas...A LOT. In fact, I am NOT embarrassed to say that I probably visit both Disney World and Disneyland multiple times a year and plan on going even MORE next year when it opens back up! I decided to write for this blog because I feel like the tips and tricks I picked over the years should be shared! :)  Natalie and I hope that we can give you the experience that we have when we go to Disney.


We decided to launch our blog today, because TODAY is May 4th. If Star Wars taught us anything it is that light always wins against darkness, and in these times, we thought we would spread some joy and light. Please share with your loved ones and comment below! Favorite Disney World Shows

Hey Companions! Shows may not be happening right now at Disney due to COVID but they will be back some day! And I wanted to let you know of some of my favorite shows that I think are worth your time while you are visiting Disney World. And one of these shows is actually still happening even during corona times.  Animal Kingdom There are two shows at Disney that I would say are definitely worth your time.  Festival of the Lion King This is a fun and interactive show that tells the story of The Lion King. Not only do they have actors that sing beautiful songs, this show is full of acrobats, fire, and moments to join in the fun yourself. I really think this is THE BEST show Disney World has. I know that’s a bold statement but I go every single time. It’s colorful, fun, and there’s so much to watch. Movies to Watch Before Going to...Animal Kingdom

  Hey Companions, I (Natalie) am back for or final installment of what movies to watch before you go to Disney. We have already covered Magic Kingdom/Disneyland, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Today I am going to talking about the movies to watch before you head to EPCOT in order to enjoy all of the details and homages to the movies. We have tried not to repeat movies but there may be a couple that overlap due to characters and rides being at multiple parks. But without further ado, here are the movies I suggest watching before going to EPCOT. And once again, these can all be found on Disney+. Movies to Watch BEFORE going to...Hollywood Studios & California Adventure

  Hello Companions,  Susan here!! Welcome back to the “What to Watch on Disney+” series! :) I get to continue the series off with Hollywood Studios and California Adventure. We decided to lump these together because they have a lot of similar rides and are the most alike! I have to say this has got to be one of my favorite lists to watch. I think mainly because it has a lot of the Pixar and iconic series with a sprinkle of Disney Junior.  Without further adieu...
