Favorite Disney World Shows

Image
Hey Companions! Shows may not be happening right now at Disney due to COVID but they will be back some day! And I wanted to let you know of some of my favorite shows that I think are worth your time while you are visiting Disney World. And one of these shows is actually still happening even during corona times.  Animal Kingdom There are two shows at Disney that I would say are definitely worth your time.  Festival of the Lion King This is a fun and interactive show that tells the story of The Lion King. Not only do they have actors that sing beautiful songs, this show is full of acrobats, fire, and moments to join in the fun yourself. I really think this is THE BEST show Disney World has. I know that’s a bold statement but I go every single time. It’s colorful, fun, and there’s so much to watch. Everyone will be entertained!  Side Note: Open snacks and drinks are not allowed in the theater so make sure you eat before you enter! Feathered Friends in Flight! Not many people...

Experience that I Would Do Again!

Image
Hi Companions,  Susan here! This week, I wanted to talk to y'all about the add-on experiences that I would do again! I have to be honest, aside from character experiences I haven't done ALL of the experiences but I have done a few and in my personal opinion, these are my favorites. Without further adieu... 1.  Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Although this was expensive, my niece's face lit up when she got to do this. It was like she was in a special club of girls that got to experience this magical adventure and hear about the story of Tinkerbell and just have a pamper hour or so to herself.  Also, I don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but there is also a knight transformation as well if your prince or princess would like to go for THAT option as well. Instead of pixie dust, I believe the knight gets sword shavings or something of that nature. This is something I wish I knew because my nephew would have MUCH preferred this option.  Magical Tip -  ...

Character Experience in 2020

Image
Hello Companions,  Susan here! I’m so glad you came back to the blog to get in the know of what is happening inside of Disney. Today, I wanted to talk to you guys about the wonderful world of meet and greets with your favorite characters! I know one of the most favorite things my niece and nephew (mostly my niece) did on the trip was meet all of her favorite characters and seeing them come to life. You could see the awe, wonder, and excitement as they would hug them and have special moments with the characters.  When Disney shut down, I was so afraid that the magic would be missing because of social distancing. I asked myself how in the WORLD were they going to recreate the character meet and greet magic but I think the imagineers and Disney have done a really good job on how to keep the magic going while keeping 6 feet apart. Will it be the same experience as before, no but in my eyes at least it will be a safer experience while still being able to see your favorite ch...

Food and Wine Festival

Image
Hi Companions,  I am here to tell you about one of my favorite festivals at Disney World and that is the Food and Wine Festival! Please note, this year (2020), due to COVID, they are doing something called The Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival so things might look a little different this year than what I am about to describe. Here I will be talking about the Food and Wine Festival when I have attended in pervious years before COVID-19. The Food and Wine Festival is a festival held every year at EPCOT in the world showcase. Basically, if you enjoy food, you will enjoy this festival. There are booth’s with special food just for the festival all around the world showcase. If you would like, you can pick up a passport (not available in 2020). This passport has menus of different booth’s as well as places for you to get stamps when you order certain food items. You sometimes even get a bonus item for getting all of the stamps! The most fun part about this ...

Disneybounding

Image
Hello Companions,  As Disney parks are opening (and closing) I thought I would give you one of my MOST favorite parts about going to Disney. DISNEYBOUNDING ! :)  What is Disneybounding you ask? My definition is when cosplay meets real clothes, but if I had to break it down some more, it is an outfit that is inspired by the character of choice using REAL clothes and not costumes at all. Disneybounding as it is the way to express your love for the character of choice without violating the Disney dress code rule for guests over the age of 14,  (See the rule here straight from the Disney website.) and while having a little fun!  Now you may be asking, being the Disney lover you are...don’t you have a TON of Disney shirts at this point to wear to Disney parks? Yes, but now you may disagree with me, but I feel like Disneybounding is different from just wearing an outfit or dress that has the character on it. I mean I get it, there now is a WORLD full of Hot ...
