Fall at Disney
Hey companions,
It’s September already so I wanted to share a little bit about fall at Disney. If you haven’t been before, it’s such a fun time! Why, you may ask. Well for multiple reason but a few of my favorites are below! And even though not everything is the same this year, Disney just announced that they will still have multiple fall things happening from September 15- October 31!
Decorations
I think we can all agree that Disney knows how to decorate for holidays and fall is no exception. Even with COVID and new regulations, Disney announced they will still be putting up fall decorations along Main Street! They have pumpkins everywhere, fall leaves, and even characters that dress up for Halloween. I absolutely love the Mickey pumpkin wreaths they put up around Main Street. They light up and are so cute. I wish I could have bought one but I couldn’t find one so I made one instead. They were that great. You really feel like you are walking into fall with all of the beautiful decorations!
Food
Not only is a Taste of EPCOT International food and Wine Festival happening in the fall, there are other treats you can find around the parks that are just for this season, especially at Magic Kingdom. They have special desserts and other foods that are themed around fall and Halloween. These treats can only be found this time of year and are fun to try!
Merchandise
I love fall and I love decorating my house for holidays, so I always LOVE the fall merchandise. There are new clothes, headband ears, household items, and more. You can find some of this at shopDisney.com but some can only be found in the parks themselves. Some you will see multiple years some thing will only be there one year. But it’s fun to see the stores filled with fall and Halloween goodies!
MNSSHP
Usually, Disney hosts the Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party. Unfortunately this year, due to COVID, they are unable to have it. But this party is so fun! It is a separately ticketed event so you do have to pay to go but it is worth it. Not only are the special treats out, but you can go trick or treating around the park, and have special character meet and greets. There are some rides that even change a little for the party and you get to dress up! One of the few times Disney will let you dress up in the park, with some rules. They also have a special show at the castle and a parade which is led by the headless horseman himself. Like I said, this party isn’t happening this year but they are still allowing people to dress up between September 15 and October 31. There are some rules you have to follow but it’s still a fun element of the party they are bringing to the parks this year.
Things may look a little different this year, but you can still experience a lot of this at the parks starting September 15! I love fall in general so I’m sure it’s no surprise that I love fall at Disney. I really do think it’s an amazing time to go and there are weeks that also have lower crowds that make it perfect.
Let us know what you love about fall at Disney!
