How to get your Disney cravings!?
Hi Companions,
Susan here! I don't know about you but the BEST part of Disney to me is well...everything but AFTER that it is the FOOD! :) There are just some things you can ONLY get at Disney...am I right? Actually no, I'm not! This blog today is here to tell you where to get some of the most iconic foods right now!
1. Dole Whip - Well I don't know if you have one around you but around me, we have a frozen yogurt chain called Menchie's. They sell Dole Pineapple Frozen Yogurt. I don't think they can technically call it Dole Whip but I promise...it is as close as you can get it. Also, recently they posted the Dole Whip recipe which to be fair, isn't exactly what it is as Dole Whip is vegan but it is actually pretty close.
2. Churros - You cannot go to Disney without getting a churro and here's a tip. ALWAYS wait in the long line. It ensures the churro is fresh and hot out of the warmer as opposed to when there isn't a line. But, what if you could have these things at home? Apparently you can get the very churros from Smart & Final. The bad thing about this is that Smart & Finals are not everywhere. So here's a good recipe for a copy cat Disney churro.
3. Mickey Shaped Ice Cream Bars - These are the MOST ICONIC and now available at your major mega grocery stores. They are available a limited time, so make sure to stock up!
4. Chocolate Covered Caramel Apples - Okay so these are actually pretty easy to get. It isn't EXACT but it does scratch the itch. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory has a chocolate covered caramel apple that is pretty close to the Disney version. These are in EVERY mall pretty much, so not too hard to get a hold of but if you wanted to make it. Here is a recipe.
5. Pretzels - I know what you're thinking! There are TON of pretzel places out there to curb this craving. Yup, totally but also Disney.com posted a recipe on how to make your OWN version at home!! :)
I am sure there are MORE! I love finding the hidden gems that I haven't found. Comment below on any I missed! I would love for us to share how we stop the Disney food cravings! :)
Your Companion,
Susan
