Image
Hey Companions, I (Natalie) am back for or final installment of what movies to watch before you go to Disney. We have already covered Magic Kingdom/Disneyland, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Today I am going to talking about the movies to watch before you head to EPCOT in order to enjoy all of the details and homages to the movies. We have tried not to repeat movies but there may be a couple that overlap due to characters and rides being at multiple parks. But without further ado, here are the movies I suggest watching before going to EPCOT. And once again, these can all be found on Disney+. EPCOT Movies: -Frozen -Frozen II -Ratatouille -Finding Nemo -Finding Dory  -Mulan -Aladdin -Emperors New Groove -Be Our Chef There are so many other great movies on Disney+ and I encourage you to look through them to see what you and your family would like. You really can’t go wrong with any Disney movie we have listed! Now tell us, what’s your favorite movie on Disney+? Your Com...

Movies to Watch BEFORE going to...Hollywood Studios & California Adventure

Image
Hello Companions,  Susan here!! Welcome back to the “What to Watch on Disney+” series! :) I get to continue the series off with Hollywood Studios and California Adventure. We decided to lump these together because they have a lot of similar rides and are the most alike! I have to say this has got to be one of my favorite lists to watch. I think mainly because it has a lot of the Pixar and iconic series with a sprinkle of Disney Junior.  Without further adieu... Hollywood Studios/California Adventure Toy Story - The Series The Little Mermaid Beauty and the Beast Guardians of the Galaxy - The Series Star Wars - The Skywalker Saga Star Wars - Galaxy’s Edge Adventure Awaits Once Upon A Time - TV Series The Muppet Collection  Inside Out The Avengers The Incredibles Frozen Cars - The Series Monsters, Inc. A Goofy Movie Finding Nemo Finding Dory Doc McStuffins Vampirina The Lion Guard Y’all this was so fun to deep dive into the Disney+ list and find these movies! I’m so e...

Movies to Watch- Animal Kingdom

Image
Hey Companions, Natalie here to continue our series on what to watch before you go to Disney. As Susan said in her last post (found here), you can go and enjoy Disney without seeing these movies, BUT you do appreciate all the details even more after you have seen the movies. Disney+ is a great option to watch Disney movies and shows all the time. It is one of my favorite subscription services. I have checked to make sure all the movies listed below are indeed on Disney+! Animal Kingdom Movies: -Avatar -The Lion King (I would recommend the original over the 2019 version but either will do) -UP -Dinosaur -The Good Dinosaur -A Bugs Life -The Jungle Book -Finding Nemo -Pick if the Litter -Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom from Nat Geo I also have a recommendation for any and all parks and that is The Imagineering Story. This show is one of the best on the subscription service and dives into the wonder of Disney and also how they make the magic happen. I think anyone who watches this will a...

Movies To Watch BEFORE Going To Disney Parks Series - Magic Kingdom/Disneyland

Image
Hello Companions ,  Susan here! Welcome to a new series where Natalie and I are going to talk to you about movies to watch BEFORE going to Disney parks. We are so excited to break down every park for you and couple any parks we think are similar. Today, I get the pleasure of starting you off with Magic Kingdom & Disneyland. The reason why I think you should watch these movies BEFORE going is really because I think you get the most out of the details the imagineers created, and rides make more sense and the overall experience to me is WAY MORE MAGICAL and at the end of the day, aren’t you paying for the magic? Story time!! My husband and I went to Disney World last year and went into the land of Pandora. It was beautiful and there was so much thought and effort put into everything but since we hadn’t watched Avatar, NONE of it made any sense!  Sure, The Flight of Passage was AMAZING but the details were lost on us. After watching parts of the movie (I will get to wat...

Fall at Disney

Image
Hey companions, It’s September already so I wanted to share a little bit about fall at Disney. If you haven’t been before, it’s such a fun time! Why, you may ask. Well for multiple reason but a few of my favorites are below! And even though not everything is the same this year, Disney just announced that they will still have multiple fall things happening from September 15- October 31! Decorations I think we can all agree that Disney knows how to decorate for holidays and fall is no exception. Even with COVID and new regulations, Disney announced they will still be putting up fall decorations along Main Street! They have pumpkins everywhere, fall leaves, and even characters that dress up for Halloween. I absolutely love the Mickey pumpkin wreaths they put up around Main Street. They light up and are so cute. I wish I could have bought one but I couldn’t find one so I made one instead. They were that great. You really feel like you are walking into fall with all of the beautiful d...

How to get your Disney cravings!?

Image
Hi Companions,  Susan here! I don't know about you but the BEST part of Disney to me is well...everything but AFTER that it is the FOOD! :) There are just some things you can ONLY get at Disney...am I right? Actually no, I'm not! This blog today is here to tell you where to get some of the most iconic foods right now! 1. Dole Whip - Well I don't know if you have one around you but around me, we have a frozen yogurt chain called Menchie's. They sell Dole Pineapple Frozen Yogurt. I don't think they can technically call it Dole Whip but I promise...it is as close as you can get it. Also, recently they posted the Dole Whip recipe  which to be fair, isn't exactly what it is as Dole Whip is vegan but it is actually pretty close. 2. Churros - You cannot go to Disney without getting a churro and here's a tip. ALWAYS wait in the long line. It ensures the churro is fresh and hot out of the warmer as opposed to when there isn't a line. But, what if you could have ...

Favorite Disney World Shows

Image
Hey Companions! Shows may not be happening right now at Disney due to COVID but they will be back some day! And I wanted to let you know of some of my favorite shows that I think are worth your time while you are visiting Disney World. And one of these shows is actually still happening even during corona times.  Animal Kingdom There are two shows at Disney that I would say are definitely worth your time.  Festival of the Lion King This is a fun and interactive show that tells the story of The Lion King. Not only do they have actors that sing beautiful songs, this show is full of acrobats, fire, and moments to join in the fun yourself. I really think this is THE BEST show Disney World has. I know that’s a bold statement but I go every single time. It’s colorful, fun, and there’s so much to watch. Everyone will be entertained!  Side Note: Open snacks and drinks are not allowed in the theater so make sure you eat before you enter! Feathered Friends in Flight! Not many people...
