Movies to Watch- Animal Kingdom

Image
Hey Companions, Natalie here to continue our series on what to watch before you go to Disney. As Susan said in her last post (found here), you can go and enjoy Disney without seeing these movies, BUT you do appreciate all the details even more after you have seen the movies. Disney+ is a great option to watch Disney movies and shows all the time. It is one of my favorite subscription services. I have checked to make sure all the movies listed below are indeed on Disney+! Animal Kingdom Movies: -Avatar -The Lion King (I would recommend the original over the 2019 version but either will do) -UP -Dinosaur -The Good Dinosaur -A Bugs Life -The Jungle Book -Finding Nemo -Pick if the Litter -Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom from Nat Geo I also have a recommendation for any and all parks and that is The Imagineering Story. This show is one of the best on the subscription service and dives into the wonder of Disney and also how they make the magic happen. I think anyone who watches this will a...

Movies To Watch BEFORE Going To Disney Parks Series - Magic Kingdom/Disneyland

Image
Hello Companions ,  Susan here! Welcome to a new series where Natalie and I are going to talk to you about movies to watch BEFORE going to Disney parks. We are so excited to break down every park for you and couple any parks we think are similar. Today, I get the pleasure of starting you off with Magic Kingdom & Disneyland. The reason why I think you should watch these movies BEFORE going is really because I think you get the most out of the details the imagineers created, and rides make more sense and the overall experience to me is WAY MORE MAGICAL and at the end of the day, aren’t you paying for the magic? Story time!! My husband and I went to Disney World last year and went into the land of Pandora. It was beautiful and there was so much thought and effort put into everything but since we hadn’t watched Avatar, NONE of it made any sense!  Sure, The Flight of Passage was AMAZING but the details were lost on us. After watching parts of the movie (I will get to wat...

Fall at Disney

Image
Hey companions, It’s September already so I wanted to share a little bit about fall at Disney. If you haven’t been before, it’s such a fun time! Why, you may ask. Well for multiple reason but a few of my favorites are below! And even though not everything is the same this year, Disney just announced that they will still have multiple fall things happening from September 15- October 31! Decorations I think we can all agree that Disney knows how to decorate for holidays and fall is no exception. Even with COVID and new regulations, Disney announced they will still be putting up fall decorations along Main Street! They have pumpkins everywhere, fall leaves, and even characters that dress up for Halloween. I absolutely love the Mickey pumpkin wreaths they put up around Main Street. They light up and are so cute. I wish I could have bought one but I couldn’t find one so I made one instead. They were that great. You really feel like you are walking into fall with all of the beautiful d...

How to get your Disney cravings!?

Image
Hi Companions,  Susan here! I don't know about you but the BEST part of Disney to me is well...everything but AFTER that it is the FOOD! :) There are just some things you can ONLY get at Disney...am I right? Actually no, I'm not! This blog today is here to tell you where to get some of the most iconic foods right now! 1. Dole Whip - Well I don't know if you have one around you but around me, we have a frozen yogurt chain called Menchie's. They sell Dole Pineapple Frozen Yogurt. I don't think they can technically call it Dole Whip but I promise...it is as close as you can get it. Also, recently they posted the Dole Whip recipe  which to be fair, isn't exactly what it is as Dole Whip is vegan but it is actually pretty close. 2. Churros - You cannot go to Disney without getting a churro and here's a tip. ALWAYS wait in the long line. It ensures the churro is fresh and hot out of the warmer as opposed to when there isn't a line. But, what if you could have ...
